Castor Oil (also known as Aceite De Ricino) has a distinct, slightly bitter taste and a mild odor. The oil is derived from the seeds of the castor plant Ricinus Communis which is native to tropical regions of Africa and Asia. The oil is extracted from the beans by expeller pressing, preserving the beneficial compound called Ricinoleic Acid, a beneficial component often used as an ingredient in DIY projects for skin, hair, and nails, including cosmetics, body massage oil, lotions, soaps, and shampoos. Castor oil is a popular carrier oil in aromatherapy and massage, often used to dilute essential oils and other substances to make them suitable for topical application.

This product is phthalate free, hexane free, vegan, GMO free, Gluten free, and Cruelty free.
